I had an issue with too many plastic containers going to the recycling bin everyday because we love to eat yogurt. I am also very health conscious and I do put maple syrup on my yogurt to sweeten it already. Then a friend at work told me how easy it was to make my own homemade yogurt...and boy is it easy AND DELICIOUSSSSSSSSS. So here is my recipe and you can find many other ideas on the web. You need: milk, plain yogurt with active bacteria, pot, kitchen thermometer and a Slow cooker. I put my milk I use 1% in a pot and bring it slowly to a boil at 185 degree. |

Substitute sugar for Maple syrup Use 3/4 of a cup of maple syrup for 1 cup of sugar and reduce the liquids in your recipe by 3-4 tablespoon. Or, bake less sweet and then use Maple syrup to drizzle on top of your muffin or cake once it is baked.
